The graphic below shows the multiple ways we can help, depending on your circumstances.
If you are ready to get started, click enroll now!
Step 1: Enroll for Services You begin by enrolling for child support services.
Step 2: Interview for Information After applying, you'll participate in an interview to provide necessary information.
From this point, there are multiple pathways depending on your situation:
Pathway A - Court Process:
- Go to Court - If court action is necessary, you may need to attend a court hearing for a court order.
- Already have a Court Order? - If you already have an existing court order, you can skip the court process and move directly to the final step.
Pathway B - Agreement Process:
- Make an Agreement - Instead of going to court, you may be able to establish a child support agreement outside of court for a court order.
Final Steps (All pathways converge):
- Get a Court Order - Whether through court or agreement, a court order will be established.
- Start Case Maintenance Activities - Once the court order is in place, ongoing case maintenance and enforcement activities begin.
Note: The dotted lines on the graphic show the various paths you might take through the process, demonstrating that not everyone follows the same route to receiving child support services.
