Case Management Flow:

Starting Point: Start Case Maintenance Activities: Once your child support case is established, ongoing case maintenance begins. From here, the process follows different paths based on payment status.

The process tracks three main scenarios:

1. Payments: When child support payments are being made as ordered, the case continues with regular monitoring.

2. No Payments: If child support payments are not being made, enforcement actions are taken through Case Maintenance Activities.

3. Locate: If the non-custodial parent cannot be found, location services are initiated to find them before enforcement can proceed.

Case Maintenance Activities:

Examples of Case Maintenance Activities:

  • Wage garnishments
  • License suspension
  • Bank levies
  • Passport
  • Liens
  • Compromise of arrears
  • Contempt

Case Closure:

Case Closed: Once all obligations are met or the case is otherwise resolved, the case will be closed.

Note: The arrows in the graphic show that the process is cyclical - cases move between payment monitoring, enforcement activities, and location services as needed until the case is closed.
