How the Child Support Process Works

Apply for Services
Once you apply for services, our staff will contact both parents to gather the information needed to get a child support order.

Get a Child Support Order
Parents can either come to an agreement on a child support amount in our office or have a Court Commissioner set a child support amount in court.

Case Maintenance
After a child support order is established, parents either begin paying or receiving child support. When circumstances change, like income or frequency of visitation, parents can request to have their order modified (updated to match their current circumstances).
